Jets players chime in on Zach Wilson's relationship drama

The alleged relationship drama involving Zach Wilson has the attention of his Jets teammates.

Over the weekend, the quarterback became the focus of a social media backlash after people reacted to what appeared to be a screenshot of an Instagram comment made by his ex-girlfriend Abbey Gile, in which she purportedly accused Wilson of cheating on her with his mom's best friend.

Mekhi Becton, offensive tackle for the New York Jets, posted a Terrell Owens "that's my quarterback" meme on Twitter along with an exclamation point and laughing-crying emojis.

Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner, cornerback who the Jets selected fourth overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, quote-tweeted Becton with a meme of Michigan men's basketball head coach Juwan Howard smiling.

Elijah Moore of the Jets replied, "No cap!" in response to former wide receiver Chad Johnson's quote-tweet, "Zach Wilson is the [goat]."

Garrett Wilson, a fellow Jets receiver, responded to Moore's tweet by writing, "Wait til you touch down dawg... You're going to love Deuce," Wilson said, referencing his jersey number.

In response to Moore's goat message, Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf tweeted, "Confirmed," along with a crying-laughing emoji.

Former offensive tackle for the Jets turned ESPN analyst Damien Woody posted a meme of a young boy tipping his hat with the caption, "*Sees why Zach Wilson is trending*."

Wilson and Gile's split

Wilson and Gile divorced earlier this year, and she is rumored to have moved on with wide receiver for the Washington Commanders named Dax Milne, who was Wilson's BYU roommate in college. The Instagram account for Gile is not active right now. Wilson has not yet commented on the circumstance.

Lisa Neeleman Wilson, the quarterback's mother, who gained notoriety after her son was chosen No. 2 overall by the Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft, posted an emotional, nearly 30-minute-long Instagram video on Sunday criticizing the dangers of social media and online predators. However, the video focused on her daughter and avoided addressing the rumors about her son.

Most recently, Nicolette Dellanno, a model and influencer, has been connected to Wilson. Last month, the rumored couple watched the Yankees beat the Rays 4-3 at a game in the Bronx.
