Vinicius has earned a superstar contract at Real Madrid

Vinicius already has star status and he has earned it. Four years after the player arrived as a promising 18-year-old, he has become an absolute star for Real Madrid.

In 10 days, the striker will return to Madrid to focus on the new season, but before that he will sign his new contract, one which makes it clear that his role at Real Madrid has become that of a franchise player.

It will be a special day and that's what the club wants because they know that he is the player called to make a difference on the pitch and off it in both sporting and financial terms.

The Real Madrid directors want the signing of the deal to be something of a show, as everything surrounding the former Flamengo player is special and different. They believe Vinicius deserves recognition, which comes in the form of a contract renewal.

He has charisma, personality and absolute commitment to Real Madrid. Circumstances have meant that the role Kylian Mbappe was going to occupy has been taken on by the Brazilian and this has felt natural.

The new contract makes it clear that he already has the status of a special and different footballer, while he will now be among the best paid players in the squad.

Vinicius' growth at Real Madrid

The Brazilian arrived to shape a new strategy at the club, that of bringing in young talent, and the gamble has exceeded all expectations, as evidenced by the goal he scored in the Champions League final against Liverpool.

Carlo Ancelotti's arrival on the bench turned his sporting life around. From being questioned and almost on put on the transfer market, he has become the most valuable player in LaLiga Santander.

Vinicius has done so under the guidance of the Italian and with Karim Benzema at his side, a player he admires and loves in the role of leader that the Frenchman plays for everyone in the dressing room.

The new agreement is closed, finalised and drafted. Although negotiations have dragged on for most of the season, neither side has ever doubted that it was a done deal.

Florentino Perez and Jose Angel Sanchez are convinced that the best version of Vinicius is yet to come. They expect that in the coming years he will fight for the Ballon d'Or and the rest of the individual awards as a result of Real Madrid's successes. These types of awards are accounted for in the new contract.

The release clause in the new contract is to be set at one billion euros, as MARCA has reported. There wasn't the slightest problem in putting that figure.

Vinicius has earned the respect of everyone, teammates and rivals alike. The laughter has turned into fear for what he can do with a ball at his feet and his evolution seems to have no end in sight, as we saw last season when he managed 22 goals and 16 assists.
