European Qualifiers: Spain and Italy start with victories

The former World and European champions Spain and Italy have done justice to their role as favorites to start qualifying for the 2020 European Football Championship finals.

The Spaniards struggled to win 2-1 at home against Norway in Valencia on Saturday (1-0). Italy beat Udine 2-0 (1-0) to beat Finland 2-0.

In Valencia, Rodrigo took the Spaniard in the lead (16th). In the first half, Tarik Elyounoussi (31) missed the chance to equalize after a break from the penalty spot with Joshua King (65 '). But the joy of the Norwegians did not last long. In the 71st minute, Sergio Ramos brought the Spaniard back into the lead, the captain exploiting a penalty in Panenka-style and his 12th penalty kick into the series.

Italy won thanks to goals from Nicolo Barella (7) and 19-year-old Moise Kean (74). Greece defeated Armenia 2-0 in Liechtenstein and Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-1 at the opening. Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko was the first player in his country to make his 100th international appearance.
