Shaun Murphy beats Ronnie O'Sullivan to win Champion of Champions final

For four years, Shaun Murphy could not win a single match in Coventry. This year, he broke the curse and claimed the title of Champion of Champions.

In the final he won against Ronnie O'Sullivan with 10-8, increasing his income by £ 100,000. O'Sullivan's second place is still worth £ 50,000.

Murphy was a big underdog going into this contest having most notably lost all three of their meetings at the World Championship including a famous 13-3 reverse in the 2014 quarter-finals.
