Red Bull Salzburg beat Benfica to become the 2016-17 UEFA Youth League champion

Red Bull Salzburg's U19 team won the most important European junior competition at club level. The junior team of the Austrian champion prevailed in the final of the Uefa Youth League in Nyon against Benfica Lisbon with 2: 1.

For Benfica, this was the second time in four seasons it has lost in the final of this tournament.

Salzburg's success is, of course, another great achievement for Red Bull Global Football: the family of clubs owned by Red Bull GmbH, manufacturer of a globally popular energy drink and high-profile backer of multiple teams and athletes across multiple sports.
