Formula 1: Raikkonen wins US Grand Prix

After 113 races without a win Kimi Räikkönen celebrates a glorious victory in Austin.

The Finnish Ferrari driver prevailed in Austin ahead of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Hamilton. Because Sebastian Vettel finished fourth, he still has theoretical chances.

Raikkonen pulled past Hamilton at the start, but the Mercedes driver takes the lead back in the course of the race. On better tires Räikkönen and Verstappen finally land in front of Hamilton, the fight against the Dutch just before the end is lost by the Briton.

Sebastian Vettel spun in the first round in a duel with Daniel Ricciardo and had to limit the damage.

For Kimi Raikkonen it is the first victory since Australia 2013, the first with Ferrari since 2009. With his 21st victory, he is in this statistic the most successful Finn driver in F1 history.
