LASK Linz snatches EL group win after stunning 3-0 win over Sporting Lisbon

On the last day of the Europa League group stage, LASK snatched the group victory with a confident 3-0 home win against 18-time Portuguese champions Sporting Lisbon.

With their goals in the first half, Gernot Trauner and Joao Klauss laid the foundation stone for the historic first place in the group. Marko Raguz made it 3-0 in the 93rd minute.

The Linz team is the fourth Austrian team to finish a Europa League group in first place. LASK - like Red Bull Salzburg - is set for the sixteenth final draw next Monday.
