'They Pressed Like Crazy': Jurgen Klopp Admits Liverpool Could've Played Better Against Midtjylland

Liverpool could have played a better game against the Danish team Midtjylland in the Champions League, the head coach of the English team, Jurgen Klopp, lamented.

"The performance could have been better, of course, we saw that. It wasn’t easy – we made a lot of changes and lost Fabinho in the first half, but credit to the boys for getting the three points," said Klopp, referring to a hamstring injury sustained by Fabinho.

“But for different reasons again, the game was really tricky. They pressed like crazy, they made a really hectic game of it and we couldn’t calm it down in the decisive moments,” he added.

The two goals in the match were scored by Portuguese striker Diogo Jota and his Egyptian team-mate Mohamed Salah, who converted the penalty. The Group D meeting, held in Liverpool on Tuesday, ended in a 2-0 win for the home team.
