Manchester City Wins League Cup After Defeating Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester City FC has beaten Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at the English Football League Cup finals, equalling Liverpool's record of eight victories.

Aymeric Laporte scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute of the game.

The match was held at Wembley Stadium, where ​some 7,773 spectators arrived to support their teams.

​The club is now expected to face off with France's Paris Saint-Germain on 28 April in the semi-final of UEFA Champions League.
