Sergi Barjuan has upset the Barcelona dressing room

Sergi Barjuan took charge of the Barcelona first team for the first time on Saturday as they drew 1-1 at home to Alaves.

The Catalan side haven't started the season well and didn't show much improvement at the Camp Nou, which led to some strong words from Barjuan after the final whistle.

According to Esports3, players aren't happy with the interim coach's comments on the injury problems the club has faced.

"It is what it is," he said.

"Nothing more can be done. Ronald Koeman already said so."

He did, however, have some words of praise for his players too.

"Looking ahead to Tuesday, we'll try to pick the players up," he added.

"We'll make sure they know they're a good group of players and that they need to believe in themselves."

Barjuan is in temporary charge as the club discuss a deal with Xavi to become the new permanent head coach. He will in the dugout for the match against Dynamo Kiev this Tuesday.
