"A clear penalty from Pique for handball"
In the opening minutes of the clash between Villarreal and Barcelona, Eric Garcia's poor backpass played Arnaut Danjuma in on goal, only for Gerard Pique to make an important block.
However, former referee Perez Burrull believes that a penalty should've been awarded, as the ball clipped Pique's hand before hitting his chest.
"[It should've been a] clear penalty [from Pique] for intercepting a ball that was going on goal," Perez Burrull told MARCA Radio.
"I don't understand why it was not reviewed by VAR."
Before that, Dani Parejo caught Sergio Busquets on the ankle with his studs, but Perez Burrull didn't feel it was worthy of a red card.
"There is a stamp from the Villarreal player but I understand that it is not an aggression," he said.
"With a yellow [card] it would have been resolved correctly."
