Neymar's nightmare returns: Forced off after nasty challenge on his ankle

Neymar's day ended early as Paris Saint-Germain took on Saint-Etienne on Sunday, having been on the end of a challenge that saw his ankle twist beneath the opponent's leg.

The ex-Barcelona forward's pain was plain to see, and he had to be taken off on a stretcher in tears.

Although the extent of the injury is not yet known, the early signs aren't positive. The pictures showing the moment of contact make for unpleasant viewing and give cause for major concern around the Brazilian.

Neymar has had more than his share of ankle injuries since his arrival at PSG, missing a number of games through injury and a lot of those being due to ankle issues.
