This is how the playoffs work... And it's very tricky!
As the qualification process for the 2022 World Cup enters its final stages, there will be some great talent on show in the playoffs for the final places from Europe.
The ten European nations confirmed at the World Cup are: Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Denmark, Croatia, England, Germany and the Netherlands.
What next for those yet to qualify?
On November 26, the runners-up will find out who they will face in a playoff to try and reach Qatar, with those teams being: Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Wales, Poland, Scotland, Russia, Turkey, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Austria and Ukraine.
Of these 12 teams, only three will join the original 10 that are in the pot for Qatar 2022.
How are there 12 teams left to qualify?
The 10 second-placed teams from qualifying groups are joined by a further two who achieved this position via the Nations League: Austria and Czech Republic.
This means that there will be three playoffs taking place, with semi-finals and a final to determine which three make it to Qatar.
Which stars will feature in the playoffs?
Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gareth Bale, David Alaba and Federico Chiesa make up just a few of the talents that will be on show as the remaining European nations play it out to see who will join the top 10 European countries at the 2022 World Cup.
Arguably two of the biggest surprise countries that will enter this format are Italy and Portugal, who both slipped up on their final match and failed to finish first. Italy's 0-0 draw to Northern Ireland led Switzerland to first place, whilst Portugal's shock 2-1 defeat to Serbia saw them slip to second.
Now, the remaining 12 nations await to hear their fate before going again to try and reach the World Cup in Qatar.
