Confirmed Madrid derby XIs: Benzema starts, but Suarez doesn't
Coming into this Sunday's Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, the big questions marks surrounded each team's No.9, as Karim Benzema and Luis Suarez were in their respective squad lists but not 100 percent fit. In the end, Benzema will start, but Matheus Cunha gets the nod over the Uruguayan.
Elsewhere for Real Madrid, it's Marco Asensio who starts over Rodrygo at right wing, but there are no surprises at all apart from that.
With Atletico Madrid, it was always going to be difficult for there to be surprises, given how many injury issues the Rojiblancos have. So, their starting XI is as was predicted.
