Stefanski and Mayfield tested positive

The health situation related to the Cleveland Browns' COVID-19 protocols continues to worsen by the day, after moving eight players up the list on Tuesday, this Wednesday their starting quarterback Baker Mayfield and head coach Kevin Stefanski.

The first to be announced was Stefanski who along with running backs coach Ryan Cordell tested positive and were immediately isolated and will only be able to be present at meetings via remote in advance of their Week 15 game this Saturday, December 18 when they host the Las Vegas Raiders.

Stefanski's second infection

Stefanski missed the Wild Card Round game in the last playoffs when the Browns defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers as visitors, after which he received two doses of vaccines and the third booster dose, however, he has been infected once again.

And then came the result of the test applied to quarterback Baker Mayfield, who also tested positive and joins a long list of Cleveland players who cannot be present at the team's facilities.

For Stefanski, Mayfield and the other vaccinated players and coaches, the possibility of being present at the game against the Raiders depends on their testing positive in two tests prior to the game against Las Vegas.

No plans to postpone the game

NFL owners are currently meeting in Dallas, Texas, however, according to NFL Network's Judy Batista and Ian Rapopport, there is no intention at this time to postpone Saturday's game.

On Tuesday, eight Browns players were placed on the COVID list and according to the latest report from CBSSports.com, there are 13 Cleveland players on the protocol:
