Minute 50: West Ham survive Chelsea's corners

Chelsea have already scored from a corner in this one and they win a couple of corner kicks early in this second half. But, West Ham are able to survive as they settle into this second half.

Minute 46: Here we go again!

The first half was thrilling. Now, let's see what the second half has to offer us, as Romelu Lukaku comes on in place of the injured Havertz. He'll offer a different kind of problem for the home side's back line.

Half time: A wild first half comes to a close

Chelsea have twice taken the lead in this London derby and Mason Mount's volley has them in front at the break. There is some bad news for the Blues, though, as Kai Havertz goes down with an apparent ankle injury just before the interval.

Minute 44: Antonio almost scores from the restart!

Spotting Mendy off his line, Michail Antonio shoots straight from the kick off following the Chelsea goal. It flies wide, but it's not too far off. This game is getting crazy.

Minute 43: GOAL!!! MOUNT VOLLEYS CHELSEA BACK IN FRONT!!!

Wow, what a goal! West Ham were playing well following their equaliser, but then Chelsea launch a counter that sees Mount volley in a long cross-field pass from Ziyech.

Minute 39: GOAL!!! LANZINI CONVERTS THE PENALTY!!!

It's 1-1! Manuel Lanzini converts from the spot with confidence. West Ham pull level thanks to Bowen's perseverance, Mendy's mistake and Lanzini's composure.

Minute 37: Penalty for West Ham!

Bowen does really well to pressure Mendy and wrestle possession off the Chelsea goalkeeper, who then fouls the West Ham man as he tries to get the ball back. West Ham have a great chance to equalise.

Minute 30: Now Silva saves a goal

After scoring at the other end, Thiago Silva is now decisive in his own area as he clears a bouncing Vladimir Coufal effort off the line. He has had a great couple of minutes.

Minute 28: GOAL!!! SILVA HEADS CHELSEA IN FRONT!!!

West Ham are usually the set piece experts, but it's Chelsea who score from a corner as Thiago Silva finds enough space to head down and past Fabianski. It's 1-0 to the Blues.

Minute 24: A header from Havertz

West Ham have grown into this game, but Chelsea still look dangerous whenever they attack and they create a headed chance for Kai Havertz, which Fabianski manages to gather.

Minute 18: Set piece chances for West Ham

West Ham are so strong at set pieces and they have a couple of opportunities, with a freekick into the box leading to a corner and with that corner creating some penalty box pinball. Chelsea survive, but they won't want to give away many more freekicks.

Minute 10: James tries his luck

Reece James gets a shot off from outside the penalty area. It's comfortable for Lukasz Fabianski, but it's a warning for the West Ham defenders, who might need to get tighter.

Minute 9: Chances for West Ham

West Ham get up the other end and create a couple of opportunities. Jarrod Bowen fires one shot wide and Tomas Soucek has a header bounce just past the far post.

Minute 6: Ziyech can't connect

Chelsea have their first good chance of the game, with a deflected cross rolling to Hakim Ziyech. But, he can't connect properly and West Ham are let off the hook.

Minute 3: Chelsea pin West Ham back

The opening three minutes have been spent entirely in the West Ham half, with Chelsea pinning their hosts deep. But, the Hammers are well positioned and keep the Blues at arm's length.
