Djokovic may not be able to return to Australia for three years

Actualizado

The Australian government has shown no sign of flexibility when dealing with Novak Djokovic's attempts to play in the Australian Open this week, with the Serb now having been deported from the country.

If authorities continue their hard-line stance, because this is the second time his visa has been revoked, the world number one could receive a three-year ban from returning to Australia.

This would see Djokovic miss out on both the Australian Open and the ATP Cup in the coming years.

Djokovic has won the most Australian Open trophies of any player with nine, and he has won the last three in a row.

This would be a serious blow to his hopes of becoming the most decorated tennis star ever, and the fact that he's not vaccinated will also prevent him from playing at Wimbledon and the US Open.
