Warriors get back on track in spectacular fashion vs Chicago Bulls

Actualizado

As the Warriors were going through their worst run of the season in the last month, they were facing a complicated game this evening against the Chicago Bulls. If they wanted to return to their usual self, they obviously needed to get a win awayfrom home. There was no better way to assert their dominance than against the Chicago Bulls, one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Coach Steve Kerr is deciding to give Klay Thompson a gradual return to activity as he gets completely back to his best shape. Tonight's the star did perform a full pre-game workout but he watched the entire game from the bench. Kerr was going to offer him minutes if the game fot complicated but he wasn't needed tonight.

Even Stephen Curry wasn't that needed tonight as he only played only 28 minutes and still scored 19 points. But the players who aren't getting as many minutes are the ones who responded tonight against the Chicago Bulls. Defensively, they were able to easily control most of the Bulls players. However, Zach LaVine's untimely knee injury during the first half was a major component in Chicago's performance. From that moment forward, it was easy to see how the Bulls would struggle to win the game despite Warriors choosing to not use their stars too much. In the end, the massacre ended with a 138-96 away win for Golden State.

What's next for Warriors and Bulls?

Despite tonight's disastrous defeat, the Chicago Bulls maintain themselves with a 27-13 record as one of the best teams in the league. They have a quick trip to Boston to face the Celtics on Saturday with no Zach LaVine. Tonight's win was a breath of fresh air for them as they get back on track with a 31-11 record. They have a complicated trip to MInnesota to face the Timberwolves on Sunday. Coach Steve Kerr expects to have both Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry back in good form after the necessary rest they had tonight.
