Woman accuses Oscar de la Hoya of sexual assault, boxer denies all claims

Legendary boxer Oscar de la Hoya is plunged into a massive scandal which he'll find it extremely difficult to avoid due to the nature of the accusations against him. Back in 2020, De la Hoya was visiting distillery in Casa Mexico Enterprises where he is a business partner. In two separate occasions, a woman claims Oscar sexually assaulted her. The first time was in March 2020, when De la Hoya initially attempted to have sexual intercourse with the woman at night but he was denied by her. It's inclear whether he was intoxicated in any way or not, but she was tasked to wake him up on the next day and that's when things took a turn for the worst.

Allegedly the victim states on her accusations that De la Hoya forced her into bed and sexually assaulted her. The victim is now a former employee of Casa Mexico Enterprises but when she was still working there, she warned founder Don Buccio but he ignored her accusations. On De la Hoya's next visit, he forced a sexual object into her against her will. That's what the victim is claiming but De la Hoya came out to defend himself from these accusations. Given that these accusations are happening in Mexico, the country's legal system does a terrible job with rape or sexual assault cases of people who aren't even famous. Imagine what might happen with Oscar de la Hoya.

How did Oscar de la Hoya respond?

The boxing legend isn't hiding from anybody, he claims the alleged victim is only a woman who is bitter for getting fired from her job. Talking to TMZ, this is what De la Hoya said about the accusations against him: "Unfortunately, with the twenty-four-hour news cycle, we find ourselves today, more often than not, as the recipient of vindictive and unjust accusations that are interpreted and spread as truth -- without any evidence to support erroneous claims. I am confident my legal team will resolve this matter and prove my innocence."
