Canelo vs. Bivol: Mexican boxer's daughter mocked the Russian

A funny moment took place hours before Saul Canelo Alvarez steps into the ring to face Dmitry Bivol for the WBA light heavyweight title, after his daughter showed her tongue to the Russian boxer.

During Friday's press conference, Maria Fernanda, the fighter's youngest daughter, accompanied her father as he spoke in front of the media.

But when promoter Eddie Hearn questioned the Mexican about his opponent, the funny moment occurred.

"He's a very good fighter, he has great skill and he's a solid champion at 175 pounds. But I believe in my skills and my ability to be able to take this fight," said the Mexican, while his daughter frowned and showed her tongue to her father's opponent. From minute 1:00 you can see the reaction of Canelo's daughter.

The undisputed 168-pound champion was not even aware of his 5-year-old daughter's gesture towards Bivol, and continued to answer Hearn's questions.

Maria Fernanda, one of Canelo's children

Canelo's young daughter is the product of his relationship with Fernanda Gomez, and is often seen with her father at every fight.

In addition to María Fernanda, Álvarez is the father of Emily Cinnamon, 16; Mia, of whom very little is known, and Saul Adiel, the youngest of his children, who is three years old.

How much will Canelo win in this Saturday's fight?

Canelo will earn 70 percent of the PPV television rights, so Alvarez will earn a not inconsiderable $15 million for Saturday's fight, while Bivol will earn $2 million.

Alvarez will face Dmitry Bivol this Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the Mexican will begin his conquest of the 175 lbs. title by taking the WBA light heavyweight belt held by the Russian.
