Charles Barkley, disappointed at former buddy Tiger Woods: 'He ain't fun to be around'

You are probably wondering why a former NBA star is talking about one of the greatest golfers to ever do it. Well, Tiger Woods had a circle of friends before all the scandals broke to the world that included Charles Barkley. There was a time in which Woods had a close circle with Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley.

They used to golf together on the regular and also party together. However, Tiger suddenly stopped talking to a good number of them that included 'Chuck'. This obviously angered the former Phoenix Suns star because he is as real as they come. You will probably never find a famous athlete who tells it like it is more than Barkley, that's what makes him so polarizing at times.

What did Barkley say about Tiger?

In fact, 'Chuck' also cut ties with Michael Jordan at one point because MJ couldn't take the criticism coming from his friend through his job as an NBA pundit. In Phil Mickelson's authorized biography written by Alan Shipnuck, Barkley is quoted saying some incendiary stuff against Tiger.

Here's a piece of what he says: "One of the reasons Phil has lasted so long is because he's had a joyful life. Tiger won a bunch of tournaments, but there wasn't much joy in it. Sure, Tiger is a better golfer. You're just in awe of his talent. But it's not fun to be around him. Everyone in his world is uptight and sh-t, afraid to say or do the wrong thing."

Barkley also resents Tiger for ghosting him after the scandals hit the world: "Tiger himself has always acted like he's under siege. Gimme a f-kin' break - you're just a golfer, dude. When you're with Phil, you're guaranteed to have fun. He makes people feel good. Everyone around him is always smiling. That's a huge difference, man. To this day, I don't have any idea what happened.

"After that ... thing, he just stopped talking to us. That's all I know. I could understand if he was trying to get back with his wife at the time and she said, 'Hey, get rid of all your old friends,' and he called and said, 'This is the situation.' I would've understood that. But I just wish he would have been man enough to call and say that. To just disappear totally was disappointing."
