How many championships does Canelo Alvarez have?

After achieving his goal of becoming boxing's undisputed super middleweight champion by the end of 2021, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is targeting Dmitry Bivol for his 17th world title.

Canelo has been the ultimate goal of most 168-pound fighters, higher and lower, since his victory over Caleb Plant in November.

Initially, he appeared to be set on a fight with WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu, but he is now set to fight for the second time at 175 pounds.

Last year's performance was perhaps the most consistent and determined of his career, but a win over Bivol, followed by a rematch with Gennady Golovkin, could solidify his status as the most versatile champion in history.
