Mike Tyson gets Serena Williams to try boxing and her punches leave him speechless

One of the most feared boxers of all time, Mike Tyson, suggested that no one is truly fearless after seeing tennis legend Serena Williams working a punchbag.

Tyson won his first 19 professional fights and reigned as undisputed world heavyweight champion for three years from 1987 to 1990, so is hardly a stranger to identifying talent in the ring.

After watching Williams training on a punchbag in 2019, Tyson tweeted his admiration.

"Wouldn't want to get in the ring with this GOAT," he said.

It's thought the video came about after the two met in 2019 at an annual camp hosted by Williams' coach of 10 years, Patrick Mouratoglou, which always attracts celebrities in and out of the sporting arena.

Serena Williams is back at Wimbledon

However, Tyson is safe for now as Williams is preoccupied with her tennis career for the foreseeable future, most immediately with Wimbledon, which started this Monday.

Entering the tournament as a wildcard, Williams starts her tournament on day two against Harmony Tan, who is ranked 113th in the world.

If she's victorious in a fortnight's time, the crown will be the 40-year old's 24th Grand Slam singles title, and seventh title at the All England Club.

Mike Tyson wouldn't want to be a coach

Despite the spectacular training workout Tyson gave Williams, it doesn't look like Iron Mike wants to take up full-time coaching any time soon.

Speaking on his Hotboxin' podcast, he said he didn't have the patience to wake up every morning for a mentor.
