Adesanya vs. Pereira: Most-anticipated UFC fight, except by Khamzat Chimaev

Following Alex "Poatan" Pereira knocking out Sean Strickland on Saturday night at UFC 276, Khamzat Chimaev called out the Brazilian fighter on social media.

Two fights later at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Israel Adesanya retained his middleweight title belt after defeating Jared Cannonier via unanimous decision.

Poatan still lacks experience in the octagon but snapping Strickland's six-fight winning streak should launch him into the top five of the middleweight division.

The Brazilian striking sensation also has some history with Adesanya from their kickboxing days.

Adesanya lost to Poatan twice, once by knockout, so he likely wants revenge now that he's the champion.

Khamzat Chimaev begs Dana White for a shot at Poatan

While Adesanya vs. Pereira is the most-anticipated UFC fight and Poatan will probably be the next title challenger, Chimaev wants a crack at him first.

After Poatan defeated Strickland, Chimaev took to Twitter to ask Dana White for a fight against the soon-to-be middleweight title contender.

Chimaev, the No. 3 ranked welterweight following a win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 273, has been vocal about competing in both divisions.

It's unlikely, however, that he will do that anytime soon, especially since Poatan is probably the next fighter to challenge Adesanya for his throne.

Chimaev's coaches would also like him to focus on his run at the welterweight title before moving up a division.
