Steph Curry's opinion on Kevin Durant's potential Warriors return

Kevin Durant has been linked with a move to former team, the Golden State Warriors, after requesting a trade in his bid to depart the Brooklyn Nets.

The 12-time NBA All-Star joined the Nets back in 2019 after parting ways with the Warriors, where he won two consecutive NBA titles in 2017 and 2018.

Following his departure, Golden State struggled with injuries but they managed to bounce back and win the title again this season. Having won their fourth NBA rings, Steph Curry,Draymond Green and Klay Thompson could be open to welcome Durant back to the team.

"Is a Kevin Durant-Warriors reunion coming?" tweeted The Athletic's Marcus Thompson.

"Highly unlikely. But some key figures would be open to it if somehow the stars aligned again."

According to Thompson, Curry would be open to the move as the four players bonded after winning together the 2016/17 NBA title, when the Warriors were absolutely dominant throughout that campaign.

That said, it is still more likely that Durant will end up at another team if he does manage to force a trade.
