Barcelona still have a lot to resolve in the next two weeks

They have been the story of the 2022 summer transfer window, but Barcelona have still got a lot to do in the remaining two weeks of the window.

The club still intend to add two or three new players to the ranks, which would take their summer acquisitions total to around eight or nine.

In order for those signings to arrive, the sporting department will have to push through some departures.

It is vital to do so in order to be able to register the new signings, those who are already there, like Jules Kounde, and those who may come.

Barcelona's transfer market to-do list in terms of arrivals

The idea is to sign two full-backs before the end of the month. The left-back is quite clear: Marcos Alonso.

There is already an agreement with the Spanish international and Chelsea have also shown their willingness to close a transfer.

Less clear is the option for the right-back. Xavi is clear that he does not count on Sergino Dest and that the experiment of Ronald Araujo or Kounde on the wing should only be an exceptional resource. He is looking for a reinforcement for that position.

The icing on the cake would be Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese is willing to leave Manchester City to join Barcelona. It is a deal that could drag on.

Barcelona's transfer market to-do list in terms of departures

The intention is for around four players to leave the club before the end of the transfer window. Yet, it's not going to be an easy task.

Samuel Umtiti is willing to leave, but is unable to find a new destination. His injury record is holding back suitors.

Martin Braithwaite is the opposite case. He has offers, but he is not willing to leave unless he is paid the two years left on his contract. Neither of the two parties seems willing to give in.

Dest is another on the exit ramp, given that Xavi isn't convinced by him at right-back.

The departure of Memphis Depay does look set to be resolved very soon. The Dutchman has every chance of playing for Juventus next season. His departure would free up enough money to register Kounde.

Other names on the table in terms of exits are Abde Ezzalzouli, Alejandro Balde and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The first is likely to go on loan. Balde would be forced to leave if they bring in another left-back. Then, Aubameyang's future would depend more on the economic issue than anything else, as Xavi would prefer to keep him.
