Neymar: The change for Messi was difficult, but now...

Neymar has shared his thoughts on his start to what is a significant campaign, no less because of the World Cup in Qatar.

It could not have gotten off to a better start: 10 games in all competitions, 11 goals and 7 assists.

Neymar spoke about how he currently sees his teammate and friend Leo Messi in Paris after his move last summer.

"I've known Leo for a long time and a change like this is difficult," he told DAZN.

"He had been in Barcelona for many years and now everything has changed for his family as well.

"The truth is that it's a bit difficult, but I think he's better now, he's more at home.

"What I want is for him to enjoy himself, for the two of us to enjoy ourselves together, because we know that we have a lot of things ahead of us, difficult things, but I'm sure we can."

Neymar gave his thoughts on a number of players during the interview, like Antonio Rudiger and Pedri among others.

"I like him, he's a centre-back that scares you, he's very strong, very big!" he said of the German.

"I like him. He reminds me of Iniesta," he said of the Spaniard.

On what happens off the pitch, Neymar says he prefers to disconnect from football in his free time.

"I've never been one to watch football matches. I've either been playing, or doing other things. The truth is, it's not that I don't like it, my friends are always there watching football matches, and I say: 'No, let's do something else. Let's go watch a movie," he said.
