Verstappen seals constructors' title for Red Bull with United States Grand Prix victory
Max Verstappen battled back to pass Lewis Hamilton and claim victory at the United States GP.
The result means Red Bull are the 2022 constructor's champions, sealing the title a week after the Dutchman claimed his second drivers' championship last time out in Japan.
On what was an emotional weekend for the Milton Keynes outfit following the death of team owner Dietrich Mateschitz, Verstappen looked untouchable for large stretches of Sunday's race.
He immediately took the lead off the line, passing pole sitter Carlos Sainz, who's race came to an early end after being clipped by George Russell on the exit of Turn 1.
From there Verstappen controlled proceedings, however a pair of Safety Cars changed the complexion of the race.
After the second Safety Car, which was caused by a massive collision between Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, came in, things really got interesting when Verstappen came in for new tyres a few laps later.
An uncharacteristically slow stop from Red Bull saw the Dutchman fall behind Hamilton and Leclerc. However, after getting past the Ferrari, Verstappen found a way past Hamilton with eight laps remaining to take his 13th win of the season, equalling Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher for most wins in a season.
Hamilton and Leclerc completed the podium, while Perez and Russell finished fourth and fifth.
Lando Norris, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, Kevin Magnussen and Yuki Tsunoda rounded out the top 10.
