David Beckham's new MLS target: Cristiano Ronaldo to Inter Miami?

It seems that Cristiano Ronaldo's time at Manchester United is done. It appears that David Beckham is interested in bringing the player to Major League Soccer. While Inter Miami will try to sign him, the teams from Los Angeles (LAFC and LA Galaxy) are also interested.

The former English footballer was previously aiming to bring Lionel Messi to MLS, but the availability of Ronaldo has changed his idea. The Portuguese superstar will undoubtedly offer a lot in terms of lifting the league's profile.

Should the deal go through, Ronaldo would fill the vacancy left by Gonzalo Higuain, who retired at the end of the MLS season last month. In addition, the Portuguese striker would become the highest-paid player in the league and would be mentored by his former teammate Phil Neville, Gary's brother.

Ready to leave United

Following his TalkTV interview with Piers Morgan, in which Ronaldo did not speak highly of his current club, the Portuguese's time at the club is expected to end.

Ronaldo accused Manchester United of betraying him and claimed he does not respect Erik ten Hag, has his sights set on Qatar.

"We are there to win and I think we have the team to do it. But then there are a number of top teams with world-class talent, so we have to stay focused, stay humble, go out there and show what we can do," Ronaldo said.

Rumors have surfaced that the Portuguese did not have a good reunion with club and teammate Bruno Fernandes.

However, midfielder Joao Mario, who was in the dressing room at the time, says that "sometimes it can be interpreted, but it was a joke between them. Bruno was one of the last to arrive and Cristiano asked him if he had come by boat. There is no problem between them".
