Antonio Brown drama: Tampa police make several attempts to arrest him for domestic incident

With each passing day, the domestic violence case against Antonio Brown grows bigger and bigger, and he refuses to cooperate with authorities. On Thursday morning, Tampa police arrived at what is allegedly his home, but did not find him, and throughout the day they made several attempts to take him into custody, to no avail.

It all started on Monday, when Brown and a woman were involved in a verbal altercation. Brown apparently threw a shoe at the woman, attempted to evict her from the house and locked her out, according to the report. As a result, the court issued an arrest warrant.

They tried to arrest him at his Tampa home

Tampa's WFTS-TV reported that police stood outside Brown's home for about an hour trying to get him to come out. Police spokeswoman Merissa Lynn reported that Brown "was not communicating with officers, so it is unclear if he is still inside the house or not."

Brown, 34, is wanted for misdemeanor assault stemming from the incident. The woman was identified as the mother of four of Brown's six children. Authorities attempted to enforce the warrant at Brown's South Tampa home Thursday, but were unsuccessful.

Brown does not respond to law enforcement calls

It was revealed that during the time police were outside his home, a megaphone was used to call out to him from the front door. The officers expressed that they were not going anywhere, and informed him that they had already spoken to his attorney.

It is unknown whether Brown was in his barricaded home or simply not there, as he has shown no signs of wanting to cooperate with authorities.

Tampa police on Tuesday sought a risk protection order against Brown, alleging he had access to two guns, including a handgun he was carrying. The request was denied by Florida Circuit Court Judge Denise A. Pomponio.
