Damian Lillard is a big fan of Ebanie Bridges: Here's what he tweeted during her latest fight

The Portland Trailblazers' Damian Lillard has long professed his love for combat sports, whether it be boxing or mixed martial arts.

The point guard once again took to Twitter over the weekend, this time showing his admiration for one fighter in particular.

On Saturday, as the world geared up for the main event featuring Josh Warrington and Luis Alberton Lopez, IBF bantamweight champion Ebanie Bridges defended her title against Shannon O'Connell during an undercard bout.

Bridges already garnered significant attention for her outfit choice at the weigh-in, where she also promoted her OnlyFans account, and expectations were high for the defending champion.

Bridges would indeed go on to beat O'Connell and retain her title, much to the delight of Lillard.

"Ebanie Bridges is two different ppl in and out of the ring," Lillard tweeted following the match.

It's not even the first time he has watched her fight, as he also tweeted about her bravery during a fight in May of 2021.

"I watched Ebanie Bridges fight the last three rounds of her title fight with one eye vs Courtenay," he wrote then.

Who is Ebanie Bridges?

Ebanie Bridges is a boxer from Australia, who made her professional boxing debut in 2019 and has risen quickly to become the IBF bantamweight champion in just three short years, doing so when she beat former champion María Cecilia Roman in March earlier this year.

As an amateur boxer she achieved a record of 26-4 between 2016 and 2018, while she has won nine fights and lost one in her professional career.

She has various side projects, such as her OnlyFans account, and this has all helped her achieve even greater fame.

"It's all side money at the end of the day, if they want to pay then it's up to them," she said of these projects.

"I don't care really, as long as I'm putting food on my table and the bills are being paid, I'm happy."
