Hazard's former Chelsea teammate blasts the Real Madrid man: He's the laziest player I've ever seen

Mikel John Obi has said that his former Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard was one of the most unprofessional players he played with. The Nigerian described the Belgian player as 'lazy'.

Hazard has virtually one foot out of Real Madrid after three frustrating years in Spain. For many, it is the player's poor attitude that has caused him to underperform with the Spanish champions and, in the end, he has been a bad investment by Florentino Perez. It should be remembered that Real Madrid paid more than 100 million dollars to sign him a season before he could have joined the club on a free transfer.

Mikel told Dubai Eye: "Everyone wants to get into the starting XI come the weekend and there is no room for those who think: 'I don't want to train today'. The only player I saw do that and get away with it was Eden Hazard.

"He has never trained. The worst. The laziest footballer I've ever seen in my life.

"I actually think when you look at him now he has lost a lot of weight. But when he was at Chelsea... the night before a game, after dinner, he could sit for half an hour eating rice pudding. He likes his food. But the next day he would have a great game and say 'you see', so we let him do whatever he wanted."

Hazard has been a flop at Real Madrid

Eden Hazard left Chelsea in 2019 to join Real Madrid for a fee of around 102 million dollars.

This move has been disastrous for all involved, as Hazard has been severely hampered by injuries in recent seasons.

Hazard has only played 73 times for Real Madrid in all competitions since the start of the 2019/20 campaign. This includes just seven starts this term.

The attacker has been criticized in recent seasons for his fitness issues and some have argued that he has been overweight at times.
