Joe Mixon won't have any charges filed against him after the shooting at his home that left an injured teenager
Joe Mixon appears to have evaded any major consequences as he's been cleared by Cincinnati Police as a suspect from the shooting at his home on March 6, which left a 16-year old teenager with an injured foot.
The victim was playing and running around the neighborhood alongside other kids with dart guns when someone fired a couple of shots at them, injuring him in the foot, being taken to the hospital.
Mixon was carrying a legally owned and registered weapon and prosecutors explained this Thursday that he didn't commit a crime.
Joe Mixon's lawyer issued a statement
Peter Schaffer, Joe Mixon's attorney, issued a statement around the incident and explained what the alleged true intentions of the Cincinnati Bengals running back were.
"Had no intention to confront anyone, nor did he. He did not intend to threaten anyone, nor did he. He did not intend to shoot anyone, nor did he."
Explaining that the shooting came after they saw unknown people running around the house with what appeared to be weapons when they had just returned from an trip out of town.
