Panthers go up to #1 in the 2023 NFL Draft after blockbuster trade with the Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears will no longer have the #1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft after agreeing to a blockbuster trade with the Carolina Panthers that includes multiple future first round draft picks going to Chicago, on top of exchanging this year's first round picks.
Chicago will now be selecting at nine according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
"Sources say the #Bears are trading the No. 1 overall pick to the #Panthers in exchange for big-time compensation including multiple 1st rounders. Chicago loads up and lands at No. 9, while Carolina can draft its QB of the future."
Wide receiver DJ Moore is part of the trade deal
Wide receiver DJ Moore was the player included in the negotiation that the Carolina Panthers had with the Chicago Bears, who now have another offensive weapon to surround their talented quarterback Justin Fields.
The Chicago Bears turned this year's NFL Draft first overall pick and flipped it for two first round picks, two second round picks and a stellar wide receiver, not bad for general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus.
