SpaceX's Starship: Elon Musk's rocket bursts into flames during rescheduled launch

Elon Musk had been hyping up his Starship launch for months, this is SpaceX's most ambitious project and the biggest rocket ever created. Comparison images for scale where humans appear next to the craft are truly breathtaking but it still needed to properly go into orbit. Elon Musk has been following along with the launch since the early hours of Thursday from Boca Chica, Texas. It all seemed to be going well right after lift-off but when the time came for separation of parts, the rocket exploded into flames mid-flight. There is a moment in which Youtuber Michael Baylor captured the exact moment in which Starship lost control and went down in flames. But those who consider this a failure, clearly have no idea what today was all about.

You might notice that in the video, the entire SpaceX crew celebrated the lift-off of Starship. This is all they and Elon Musk wanted, for the biggest rocket ever created by humans to take flight. They didn't plan much after that and they knew more problems would probably arise during the flight. Musk agreed that this can be categorized as a success by the SpaceX crew and he also looks forward to more improvements. Elon Musk has made it clear that these tests are made exactly to keep improving on mistakes made until everything is perfect and his rockets can safely land back on earth. Starship aims to become the culmination of all that work his team has done over the last decade.

There is no possible date for the next test flight but this one can reach many conclusions for the entire crew. After the rocket stayed in the air for a determined period of time, it is time for the entire crew to go back to the drawing board and correct the mistakes made today. Hopefully, this latest test flight of Starship can help Elon Musk take one more step toward that goal of someday having a working craft that can take an entire crew to Mars. It is quite the ambitious goal but Elon Musk is determined to make it happen and someday colonize the red planet.
