The best Warriors arrive in time to fight for everything: Curry's level, Wiggins and Jordan Poole's return

It is often said that teams show that they are champion material with their performances in finals, but also because of they way they show up at the right time.

In recent years, the Golden State Warriors have managed to do just this in several seasons, spreading fear among their rivals.

Defeats, such as the one against Denver Nuggets are inevitable, but the Warriors have demonstrated that they have picked up the pace to be considered as title contenders.

Draymond Green makes the difference in defence, while Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson shine on offence and Jordan Poole doesn't shy out in important moments. This was the recipe in their win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday despite conceding 79 points in the first half.

"It's fun, this is all what it's about," coach Steve Kerr noted after the game.

"We love the competition and even though we'd prefer to be home free in the playoffs right now, this is where we are.

"I'm really proud of the guys what they've done here in recent weeks to put ourselves in this position but now we've got to go finish the deal and get into the top six."

The Warriors are reminiscent, to a certain extent, of the team that won the league last season. Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins is expected to return soon after missing several games due to personal reasons.

"I'm glad he took the time that he needed," Jordan Poole said.

"We're welcoming him back with open arms. Really excited. Good energy. Positive energy to have him back.

"He just is such a bright light and has such an amazing spirit. It's just dope to be around him, and it's definitely good to have him back in the locker room."

Despite struggling away from home, Golden State Warriors have an impressive 33-8 record at Chase Center. They've only bettered this record three times: 39-2 in 2014/15 and 2015/16, and the 36-5 in 2016/17.

"This is who we are," Golden State star Stephen Curry indicated.

"Understanding how our team has reached out to the entire fan base and the organization. It's the love we show them."
