Newly crowned NBA champion Nikola Jokic is one of a kind.

After a physical and hard-fought game 5, Jokic, Murray, & co were able to bring the city of Denver its first NBA championship in history. Capping off an amazing season, the Heat and Nuggets battled it out in what was a true slug-fest, in a game with controversy and a down-to-the-wire finish.

Just when it felt like the Nuggets would start to pull away - the Heat kept clawing back as the they had all season. But this Denver team was too much for that Miami magic. Playing on their home-court Jokic made big shots and plays down the stretch to lead his team to the finish-line, as he was watched on by fans all over the world and especially in his hometown of Sombor.

Pandemonium hit Ball Arena when the game clock finally hit zeros, but for Jokic, acknowledging and consoling his rivals was priority.

Jokic, before celebrating with his teammates, went over to the Heat bench and congratulated the Heat squad and coaching staff on what had been an amazing journey for a team that went from the play-in to the Finals. Beating the Bucks and Celtics on their historical run, the Nuggets were just too much to ask.

Jokic was the star of the playoffs with countless incredible performances leading his team to the ultimate prize and being named Finals MVP, an achievement which truly was never in doubt.
