Scottie Scheffler celebrates eagle from 197 yards at US Open ball slowly finds hole

World no. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler celebrated an incredible eagle Saturday during the third round of the 2023 US Open. The ball slowly rolled into the 17th hole as PGA Tour fans cheered in unison.

Scheffler, 26, finished the round at two under par for a -7 total ahead of Sunday, enough for a fourth place spot. He is four strokes behind the leader, Rickie Fowler, who looks to clinch his sixth PGA Tour victory.

When Scheffler hit the ball from 197 yards out, he instantly turned around to shake hands with his caddie, knowing that it would find the green.

Once the ball found the hole in such a fashion that would make one think there's a magnet involved, Scheffler traded the handshaked for hugs and leaps.

Scheffler went on to sink another excellent shot in the 18th, a birdie on a par 4 hole.

Scottie Scheffler wants his second major

While Fowler has yet to win a major, Scheffler isn't too far ahead. He only has one more PGA Tour victory than the current US Open leader.

Scheffler also has just one major championship, the 2022 Masters Tournament. A US Open victory wold continue to cement his legacy as this generation's best golfer.

He continues to sink incredible shots such as Thursday's eagle that make fans fall in love with him even more.

Even golf influencer Paige Spiranac has raved about Scheffler's unbelievable gameplay.
