'Four time girlies ready to get weird': All the Instagram posts shared by USWNT stars on the eve of their first game
The wait is finally over. The US Women's Soccer team play their first game of the Women's World Cup against Vietnam on Saturday. They're carrying the weight of their World on their shoulders as millions of people tune in to see if they're able to pull out what some have branded the impossible: the 'three-peat'.
The players looked relaxed as they made their way around the pitch at Eden Park the night before the game.
The players laughed, chatted amongst themselves and took selfies as they got of sense of the stadium where they will begin their title defense.
Fans were treated with plenty of updates from the team on social media, with most of the stars sharing photos from their pitch observation.
Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan, Sophia Smith and Trinity Rodman all published on their respective accounts. Trinity Rodman sent followers wild on TikTok as after performing a hilarious- and perfectly executed- dance with Alex Morgan and Kelly O'Hara.
'Four-time girlies ready to get weird,' was the caption chosen by Rapinoe to accompany a photo of her with the two other players in the squad who in Australia and New Zealand will be playing their fourth World Cup: Alex Morgan and Kelly O'Hara.
The USWNT beat Thailand 13-0 in their opening game in the World Cup. They'll hope to have such an emphatic start this time around too.
