"Sugar" Shane Mosley says Devin Haney never wanted to fight Shakur Stevenson

Shane Mosley knows plenty about the sports of boxing and the business side of it. Mosley fought the best of the best and rarely failed to compromise to make the fights happen.

Speaking on "The Art of Dialogue" YouTube channel, Mosley was asked about Devin Haney only offering 25% of the total purse to Shakur Stevenson when they were negotiating a potential fight between the two.

That means that he didn't want to fight. That's what you do when you don't want to fight. You know what type of quality fighter he is, you know he's a great fighter, let's be fair. They put this business in front of the actual fight.

Unsurprisingly, Stevenson rejected the offer and negotiations were dead on arrival. Stevenson felt completely disrespected, just as Mosley says he should.

Mosley was then asked to choose a winner in a possible fight between Stevenson and Haney, a question he struggled with.

My mind says Shakur will probably win, but then I see the great work (Haney) did with Loma and overcoming a lot of different obstacles in that fight... it could be hard for Shakur. When Shakur said he sparred with Crawford and he had lots of problems with Crawford. He had problems with long arms and the height... so that could be a problem for Shakur that we haven't seen.

The fighters have beef
