Eddie Hearn on Anthony Joshua: "He's gonna knock out Deontay Wilder AND Tyson Fury"

Eddie Hearn has long been a superfan of Anthony Joshua and has always stuck up for his fighter, even when the heavyweight lost his belts on two separate occasions.

Since Joshua's back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, he has delivered a decent performance in a UD win over Jermaine Franklin followed by a stunning knockout of Robert Helenius that has many thinking Joshua may be able to return to championship form. Those two performances have Hearn dreaming big for Joshua's immediate future.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Hearn was asked about Joshua and a potential fight against Deontay Wilder, which has been heavily rumored.

"I'm Anthony Joshua's number one fan. In my head, call me deluded, but he's gonna knock out Deontay Wilder and then he's gonna knock out Tyson Fury, he's gonna become the undisputed heavyweight world champion, and then we're gonna sail off into the sunset. Call me deluded, I don't care what you call me... I see it, we have the vision for that, let's make it happen."

Hearn has always been optimistic with Joshua's outlook, especially recently. Less than a month ago he said he thinks Joshua "beats everyone" and that he's "so confident he beats Deontay Wilder". As Joshua's promoter, Hearn needs to be rosy about his fighter, and he seems very, very confident in his abilities despite recent fights signaling Joshua may be on the tail end of his career.

Before getting to Tyson Fury, Wilder is on Joshua's mind. But Hearn also mentioned to talkSPORT that a fight between the two may have to be pushed back to March or April of 2024. Fury, meanwhile, is preparing for a highly anticipated bout against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
