Tiger Woods is back: Filmed playing golf following his ankle surgery

Tiger Woods has been seen back on the golf course as he continues his recovery from the ankle surgery that has seen him miss out on competing in recent tournaments.

This is the first time since April that Woods has been filmed playing golf and it is the first big sign that he will soon be able to compete in tournaments again, which would be great for the watching fans and organizers of events.

He was filmed playing golf at The Hay, the famous golf course at Pebble Beach in California.

What injury does Tiger Woods have?

Tiger Woods was forced to withdraw from The Masters in Augusta in April in the third round due to an ankle injury.

Woods had surgery on his ankle to fix post-traumatic arthritis, which stemmed from his 2021 car accident.

"Earlier today, Tiger underwent a subtalar fusion procedure to address his post- traumatic arthritis from his previous talus fracture," a statement read at the time.

"It was performed by Dr. Martin O'Malley at HSS Sports Medicine Institute in New York City. He has determined the surgery to be successful.

"Tiger is currently recovering and looks forward to beginning his rehabilitation."

There were genuine fears that Woods would never be able to play golf again following the car crash, plus he let his caddie Joe LaCava leave to work with Patrick Cantlay.

LAPRESSE

But, the latest footage is promising as fans still love the legend of the sport and want to see him back on tour.
