F1: Hamilton wins in Hungary

The Mercedes world champion won on Sunday at the Hungaroring ahead of the two Ferraris of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen and expanded
his lead over Vettel from 17 to 24 points before the summer break.

For the British it was the 67th GP victory and the 5th success in the 12th race of the season 2018.

What had been considered as damage mitigation at Mercedes brought an unexpected pole and a start-finish victory for Hamilton in the end. "We're taking this victory as a bonus, which was not really our track," Hamilton said, cheering on the heat-straining race. Räikkönen had to get through the race without liquid, because Ferrari had forgotten Ferrari to connect his bottle.

Daniel Ricciardo was fourth in the Red Bull, although the Australian started only from 12th place. Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas was unlucky, having collided in second place with both Vettel and then Ricciardo in the finish and had to settle for fifth place.
