Golf: Francesco Molinari wins British Open

Italian Francesco Molinari celebrates the biggest success of his career by winning the British Open.

Francesco Molinari won the 147th British Open and was the first Italian to win a major.

At the oldest and most important tournament in the world, the 35-year-old duped the elite and was the first Italian to celebrate a major triumph. A little later he held the coveted silver trophy "Claret Jug" in his hands and gave it a kiss.

Woods for a short time on victory course
