MotoGP in Malaysia: Marquez wins, Rossi crashes

What a drama at the MotoGP race in Sepang.

39-year-old Italian Valentino Rossi makes a perfect start in the Malaysian Grand Prix, leading up until the final 4 laps. But then the Yamaha star goes down and has to let world champion Marc Marquez pass.

The 25-year-old Spaniard conquers after his 5th world title in MotoGP his 9th season success.

Marquez (Honda) triumphs ahead of compatriot Alex Rins (Suzuki). Polesetter Johann Zarco (FRA / Yamaha) takes third place.

Honda secures in Malaysia the title of constructor-world champion.

Marquez drives with 321 championship points in the bag for the MotoGP season finale in Valencia (18.11.). Andrea Dovizioso (220 points) won the Italian duel against Rossi (195) in the fight for the title of vice-world champion.

"I have mixed feelings," says Rossi in his follow-up interview, to which he appears in the world champion shirt of his Moto2 pilot Pecco Bagnaia. After all, his VR46 drivers Marini and Bagnaia won the World Championship title in Moto2.

"On the one hand, I'm very satisfied, of course, because for me it was the best race this season, even on a track and in conditions that are very difficult for us, but of course it's a shame and I'm very disappointed racing so good and then traveling home with zero points is frustrating. "
