Federer wins his 100th ATP title in Dubai

Jimmy Connors has more with 109 tournament victories. Roger Federer wrote the next chapter of his fairytale tennis history on the Persian Gulf and won the 100th Tournament of the Tour.

The 37-year-old Swiss triumphed in the final of Dubai over the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas. After two sets 6: 4, 6: 4 Federer becomes the second player in the "100 Club" - more titles on the ATP Tour has won only Jimmy Connors (USA / 109).

"Today is a dream come true," said Federer: "It was an incredible week for me."

At the beginning he still had unusual problems, in the first round against Philipp Kohlschreiber (Augsburg) he needed three sets. However, the end was again befitting and worthy of a jubilee victory. After 69 minutes Federer turned his first match ball to the eighth win in Dubai.
