Barcelona move for Ferran Torres
Ferran Torres is the chosen one for Barcelona as they look to bolster their front line, and they could launch a move for the Manchester City forward.
The Spaniard's agent was at Barcelona's offices last Tuesday to push the move forwards, with director of football Mateu Alemany travelling to Manchester this week.
There is already a deal in place between Barcelona and the player, but the two clubs have not come to an agreement.
Barcelona have promised the winger an important role in the squad, something that he feels he has not achieved in England under Pep Guardiola.
The Spanish side hope that a deal can be done in January, but that could depend upon the demands of the Citizens given their precarious financial status, at least until sales are made.
Regardless of the difficulties, Barcelona are pursuing a move for Ferran, who cost 25 million euros when he left Valencia to move to the Etihad Stadium, plus bonuses.
Ferran's injury
The Spanish international has spent much of the past month back in his home-town of Valencia, recovering from an injury which he picked up on international duty in October.
Still recovering, he no longer wears an orthopaedic boot and is nearing a return to training, with the aim of being back in action in 2022.
