Real Madrid vs Sevilla LIVE SCORE: 0-0

This is the start of our Real Madrid vs Sevilla live blog, with our updates from this highly anticipated fixture following on from here. As always, the entries nearest the top are the most recent ones.

19:30 GMT: Impact of Atleti's win and La Real's loss

Real Sociedad's 1-0 loss against Espanyol on Sunday afternoon meant that they could not finish the weekend at the top of the table, while Atletico Madrid have just beaten Cadiz 4-1 to jump up to second, which leaves Sevilla in fourth. A draw will see Sevilla jump up to second, while a win would send them top, one point above Real Madrid.

19:15 GMT: No Rodrygo in the squad

According to RealMadridTV, Rodrygo is suffering from gastroenteritis - the same issue Eden Hazard was dealing with - and is not even in the squad for tonight's match.

18:45 GMT: Sevilla's line-up

Julen Lopetegui has made one change from the Sevilla side that beat Wolfsburg in midweek, as Rafa Mir comes in for Munir El Haddadi.

Sevilla's starting line-up (4-3-3): Bono; Gonzalo Montiel, Jules Kounde, Diego Carlos, Marcos Acuna; Joan Jordan, Fernando, Ivan Rakitic; Lucas Ocampos, Rafa Mir, Papu Gomez.

18:30 GMT: Real Madrid's line-up

Carlo Ancelotti has surprisingly named David Alaba in today's XI, despite his knee sprain in midweek, as he has gone for a very strong XI.

Real Madrid's starting line-up (4-3-3): Thibaut Courtois; Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, David Alaba, Ferland Mendy; Luka Modric, Casemiro, Toni Kroos; Marco Asensio, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior.

17:20 GMT: How this fixture went last year

Playing at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano rather than the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid had to rely on a 94th-minute goal to salvage a point at home to Sevilla.

17:00 GMT: Real Madrid vs Sevilla preview

Real Madrid are set to host Sevilla on Sunday in a game where Carlo Ancelotti's men will attempt to build on their momentum and extend their eight-game unbeaten run.

Los Blancos grabbed a comfortable 3-0 victory away at Sheriff Tiraspol on Wednesday thanks to goals from David Alaba, Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema as they secured qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League.

Gareth Bale and Dani Ceballos will both miss out with injuries, while Eden Hazard is still unfit due to a stomach issue he suffered from last week and will be sidelined for this duel.

Meanwhile, Alaba had to be replaced in the game with Sheriff due to discomfort and is doubtful for Sunday's match.

Ancelotti stressed in the press conference that the Austria international will be assessed before the game, but he indicated that he is unwilling to take any risks with the defender.

As for Sevilla, Jesus Navas and Youssef En-Nesyri are still sidelined with their respective injuries, while Marcos Acuna, Diego Carlos, Suso, Erik Lamela and Jules Kounde are all doubtful due to knocks, although they are expected to be fit for Sunday.

Julen Lopetegui's side are currently sitting third in the LaLiga Santander table, just two points behind leaders Real Madrid.
