Peyton Manning demands that Tom Brady return the gifts he sent him

On February 1, through a publication shared on his Instagram account, the quarterback winner of seven Super Bowl titles announced his retirement as a professional after 22 seasons in the NFL.

Thousands of New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans sent him messages of gratitude for his dedication on the field.

There was even a collector who paid $ 518.25 for the ball that represented the "last" touchdown scored by the man who was considered a living legend of the sport.

Likewise, several of Tom Brady's former teammates dedicated messages of admiration to him and for some days there was a recurrent appearance of topics related to his career in the main sports spaces.

It was only a pause in his career

Even Peyton Manning himself, with whom he had a great rivalry between 2000 and 2010, dedicated a two-page letter to congratulate him on his legendary career, but also sent him a bottle of expensive wine with which he apparently extended his hand to end the animosity fed during a decade of sporting clashes.

However, the whole happy ending tale collapsed in a matter of weeks, as Brady opted to back out in the face of an attractive offer from the Buccaneers to return to the field.

Eternal rivalry

This action disconcerted first, the individual who spent part of his fortune to buy a relic linked to the veteran quarterback, and secondly, his bitter NFL rival, who sent him an angry message in the form of an ultimatum.

"I want my letter back. You have to read all this nice stuff, I want it back. I also want my bottle of wine back," Peyton Manning said.

Brady and Manning have faced each other 18 times: 13 in the regular season and five in the postseason, with Tom winning 9-4. However, in the playoffs, Manning dominated, 3-2.
