Randy Gregory responds: Which rage is worse, the rage of hell or the rage of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones?

Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory responded to comments made by team president Jerry Jones after he said the player's cost was too high.

During the team owner's press conference prior to the 2022 NFL Draft, he was questioned about what happened with Gregory, who had practically arranged his continuity with the team, although in the end he changed his decision and made it with the Denver Broncos.

Jerry Jones' words

"I'd rather have two than one", said Jerry Jones after the team signed Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr, even assuring that he did it at a lower cost than what the continuity of Gregory would have cost.

He added that the price for the player who came to Dallas in 2015 was considerably high, which is why they preferred to let him leave and look for other options.

"It got too high for the team. If you have a big question mark over availability, do you want to make millions and millions of dollars?" asked Jerry Jones.

Randy Gregory responded on social media

Reporter Marcos Mosher posted on the social network Twitter that the defensive wing wanted to sign him in Dallas with exactly the same deal he got in Denver in free agency, and then the player responded.

"Hell hath no fury like a scorned....owner?" Gregory tweeted. "Mans needs to let it go and go find his war daddy already."

So, while the team owner questioned Randy Gregory's availability, the player was not quiet and made it clear that the situation did not end in the best way.

Gregory was selected in the second round of the 2015 Draft and practically missed two seasons due to a violation in the substance abuse policy. He totaled 50 games with the Dallas team, with 16.5 sacks and forced eight fumbles.

At the end of the 2021 season, he was virtually assured of a five-year, $70 million contract, but at the last second he chose to play for Denver.
